Jalapeno, Lime, and Smoked Mozzarella Turkey Burger

Today I have another great recipe for you from Chef Aaron McCargo! If you didn’t know, Chef McCargo has teamed up with Fresenius Medical Care to bring dialysis patients some really amazing and renal friendly recipes. You can find these recipes here and we will be slowly posting them as well.

I don’t know about you but this burger sounds awesome! Though you know me, I’m a chili head, but don’t worry there is only a hint of heat in this burger. Unless like me you deviate from the plan and dropped a few Serranos in.

I don’t know about you but I don’t have a grill nor do I have a George ForemanĀ® Grill, but don’t worry you can totally make this in a frying pan or if you’re fancy a grill pan. Though I am seriously thinking about getting a small 2-plate grill.

Big and Bold Taco Chicken Pizza and Guacamole

Happy Cinco De Mayo everyone! Or as my friends call today; “Revenge of the 5th!” Just Google it. 

I was so excited when I was contacted by someone who represents Chef Aaron McCargo and asked to post his dialysis friendly recipes on my blog. I never thought I would be posting other peoples recipes on here but to be honest I love this guy! I mean it’s not often a celebrity chef takes time out of his busy day, even though he is being paid by Fresenius Medical Care, to come up with renal safe dishes that taste amazing.

Since the entire goal of this blog is to get really great tasting recipes that are renal friendly in the hands of dialysis patients so they will actually stick to their diet, I have decided to post his recipes.
